SUGARING/WAXING HAIR REMOVAL CARES

  • Pre Care
    • Hair growth needs to be at least 1/4” long to be removed. About the length of the average pinky nail.
    • For women we advise not timing your appointment with your menstrual cycle, as it is the time you are most sensitive.
    • You are welcome to apply Dr.NUMB fast acting topical gel to the area, but do so before your appointment as it takes 30-45 minutes to work. Most clients do not use any type of numbing cream and do perfectly fine with the quick pain involved.
  • POST CARE
    • Avoid hot tubs, pools, pedicures and any other water that you would soak the treated area. Showers are perfectly fine.
    • Tiny red spots may appear for a few hours or some cases even days after treatment. This is caused because the hair has been removed from the root and it is very normal after treatment.
    • Avoid heavy exercises or heavy sweating for 24 hours after treatment as it increases the chance of breakouts.
    • If you have sensitive skin avoid any harsh soaps and exfoliation for 24 hours.
    • After 3 to 5 days of treatment you may begin focusing on keeping the area free of breakouts, and ingrown hair, by exfoliating regularly with a natural loofa, and using a cleanser that contains salicylic acid. *Neutrogena Oil-free Acne wash is a great option.
    • Daily Exfoliation allows for the skin to be free of dead skin and excess sebum (natural occurring oils in the skin) leaving pores a clear pathway for hair growth and diminishing chances of ingrown hair.
  • IMPORTANT NOTES
    • Notify your technician if:
